This bank was established in 1821 by Rees Williams and John Rowlands of Neath. Its customers were drawn from Neath's agricultural and marine industries. The business amalgamated with Eaton, Knight & Stroud (est. 1828) of Swansea to form the Glamorganshire Banking Co. in 1836.
