This collection of photographs has been curated by Ian Trowell of various photographs that have been donated to the NFA. The photographs cover a range of subjects such as lorries, rides, shows, and personalities at various fairs and cover a wide period of time. There are a mixture of black and white and colour prints and negatives. Included in the collection are images of bioscopes and postcards of traction engines.

Ian Trowell has worked at the fairground Archive since 1997 and is also secretary of the Fairground Association of great Britain. Some of the contents of the collection include images taken by Ian Trowell and focus on his passion for fairground art and technology
