Scope and Content

Comprises a Caernarfon Choral Society attendance register for 1929-1930, giving details of members' names, addresses, place in choir and dates of meetings.

Administrative / Biographical History

In 1929 the Caernarfon Choral Society had approximately 180 members, comprising sopranos, altos and tenors. The society, which met weekly, was conducted by Mr Osborne Roberts, the accompanist was Mr W. Roberts; it had four registrars and two honorary secretaries. It won the chief choral competition at the 1909 National Eisteddfod of Wales held in London.
