In consideration of £3,000, William Anderson of Cambridge, mealman, releases by way of mortgage to his sister Mary Anderson of Cambridge, spinster, the several freehold properties described in Doc 1925. Repayment of principal sum and 5% interest nominally due on 20 Feb 1794. William Anderson undertakes to insure the buildings against fire for £1,500. Lease: Doc 1925. See also Doc 1889. 3 pages, signed and sealed by William Anderson, witnessed by Rebecca Wrattin and John Wood, duty stamps. Endorsed with receipt for consideration money, same witnesses. Further endorsed in blue crayon: 'Cambridge'. Form of indenture supplied by Thomas Druce (or Bruce?) of Staple Inn.
