Typescript accounts of journeys in Africa and through the Western Pacific, with four accompanying files of photographs, 1958-1959, 1963; typescript account of the political crisis in Uganda, 1966; Ordnance Survey 1:25,000 map of Central Ruwenzori, 1962.

Administrative / Biographical History

Barbara Morris embarked on four major journeys between 1958 and 1963. She was the first woman to traverse the Ruwenzori mountains on the western border of Uganda, 1958. She also undertook a journey across Lake George, the Kazinga Channel and Lake Albert (Uganda and Zaire) by dinghy, 1959 and a trek from Uganda to Great Britain via the Sahara, 1959, as well as travelling through the western Pacific, 1963. She was also present in Uganda during the political crisis of 1966 .
