Scope and Content

Diary (original and photocopy) of John Evans, 1859-1868. It consists, for the most part, of brief records of the various crimes (petty and otherwise) committed in the Llandudno, Conwy and Llanrwst area. Also, there is a full and interesting description of a visit to London in October 1862.

Administrative / Biographical History

John Evans, was the first Superintendent of police at Conwy, north Wales.
