Scope and Content

The material consists almost entirely of lectures delivered by Chaundy at Oxford. They are presented in his own topic order designated by letters of the alphabet, which does not correspond with chronological order.

Administrative / Biographical History

Chaundy was born in Oxford. He was a mathematical scholar at Balliol College, Oxford, 1906-1909, and remained at Oxford University for the rest of his career. He was appointed Lecturer in Mathematics at Christ Church in 1910, and Student and Tutor at Christ Church, 1912-1956. He was appointed University Lecturer in Mathematics, 1927-1947, and Reader in Mathematics, 1947-1956.
