Administrative / Biographical History
This association was formed in 1866 as the Leicester and Leicestershire Trimmers' Association and added 'and Auxiliary' to its title some time in the 1920s. On 1 August 1970 it merged with the National Union of Hosiery and Knitwear Workers.
