Scope and Content

This collection consists of seven diaries kept by Thomas Williams for the years 1885 - 1893, 1897, and 1899 - 1901. The entries, which are all in English, relate mainly to the daily routine of farm work, interspersed with accounts of an occasional trip to Liverpool or Manchester and comments on various matters.

Administrative / Biographical History

Thomas Williams' diaries show that he worked as a farmer, ca. 1885 - 1901 in the Llanfair Pwllgwyngyll area of Anglesey, north Wales. No further biographical information is available at the time of description compilation.

Material is arranged in chronological order and incorporated into the General Collection of Bangor Manuscripts .
