The Lennoxtown Gas Light Co is company was established in 1852 . Its original promoters were James Bishop, Gordon Wilson, Robert Clark and Rev. William Wood. Its first manager was Matthew Blair, who was succeeded by James Inglis. It operated as gas producers and distributors in Lennoxtown, East Dunbartonshire.
