Diaries and note books of William Roberts, Hirael

Scope and Content

16 diaries, dating from 1844 - 1890, with very sparse entries. Includes names of Sunday preachers and details of chapel meetings. Also, two note books. One with personal names, ship names and figures which most probably relates to the work of William Roberts as a slate loader. The other contains details of money collections etc. at Eneglaim chapel, Hirael.

Administrative / Biographical History

William Roberts of Roberts Street and James Street, Hirael, Bangor was a slate loader by profession. He was made a deacon at Eneglaim Chapel, Hirael in 1875 and died in August 1882.
