Administrative / Biographical History

S.C.K. was founded in 1943 by Roger Bradshaigh Lloyd (1901-1966), Canon of Winchester, as a fellowship of companies (mainly composed of lay people) dedicated to prayer, study and active Christian service. By 1959 there were 125 companies. Initially an Anglican society, it was opened in 1964 to all Christians.
