British Heavy Steel Association

This collection contains: copies of constitution signed by member companies, 1966-1968; minutes of various meetings, 1965-1969.

This body was formed in 1965 on the termination of the North East Coast and Scottish Steel Makers' Association and the Midland and Welsh Steel Makers' Association (known collectively as the Heavy Steel Associations). It was a member of the British Steel Producers' Conference.

These records were among a series of deposits made by British Steel plc between 1995 and 1999.
