Scope and Content

Comprises pedigree roll of the genealogy of David Salusbury of Llanrhaeadr near Denbigh, c. 1570, and photocopy of Welsh pedigrees, compiled by Wiliam Cynwal.

Administrative / Biographical History

Wiliam Cynwal (d. 1587 or 1588), poet, of Ysbyty Ifan, Denbighshire in north Wales. Much of his poetry, written mainly in strict metre, comprised eulogies, elegies and poems of love, religion and satire. He also produced works on heraldry and Welsh genealogy.

Material is arranged in chronological order and incorporated into the General Collection of Bangor Manuscripts .
