Minute book of the Bangor Free Church Fraternal consisting of interesting entries regarding addresses heard and subjects discussed, especially during the First World War.

Administrative / Biographical History

The Bangor Free Church Fraternal consisted of several non-conformist ministers from Bangor and surrounding area including, H. Harris Hughes, Argoed, Gwilym Williams of Twrgwyn, T. Shankland, Penrallt Road and Silas Morris, Glyn Afon. They met at Bala-Bangor College where they held discussions on various topics and invited guest speakers.

The secretary in 1946 was Rev. William Phillips, once minister of Hirael Chapel.

Acquisition Information

It was agreed in a meeting on 16 April 1946 that this Minute Book be placed on deposit at the University College of North Wales. As a result, it was placed in the care of the Librarian by Rev. William Phillips.
