Administrative / Biographical History

The North Wales Branch of the British Medical Association, the representative group for medical doctors, was established in 1849. It was originally known as the Provincial Medical and Surgical Association. In north Wales there were branches in Caernarfonshire, Anglesey Merionethshire and Montgomeryshire.
