Scope and Content

Abstract of title of John Stocker Freaks and Margaret Freaks to 'a Commonable Messuage in Hive End in Chatteris', manor of Chatteris Ramsey, tracing the successive tenancies from 1750 to 10 Apr 1810, when William D[unn] Gardner acknowledged satisfaction in payment of the #300 with interest owed by the Freaks to his late father-in-law John Gardner (Doc 1698). Some effort has been made to amend the record so that it forms an abstract of title for John Warth (see Doc 1696). The interest of the following in the premises at various times is recorded:1. Richard Selby (d c1750) 2. Richard Selby (jnr, son of -1) 3. Alice Selby (mother of -2) 4. William Parker of Chatteris, farmer 5. Susannah Lyon of Chatteris, spinster 6.
