Colwyn Borough Council Records

Scope and Content

Colwyn Borough Council was created in 1974 as one of the six districts of the new county of Clwyd. In area, it comprised most of the former Aled and Hiraethog rural districts, Abergele urban district and the Borough of Colwyn Bay. In 1996, most of the district was absorbed into the new Conwy unitary authority.

This collection mostly consists of council minute books in English and Welsh.
