- Physical Description3 vols., manuscript. Bound in boards with marbled paper on the outside covers and black cloth spines. The volumes are numbered 1-3 on small pieces of paper pasted on to the middle of all three outside front covers respectively.

William Barwell Turner (1845-1917) was a botanist and expert on the Desmidieae. He became President of the Leeds Naturalists' Club in 1881.
