Administrative / Biographical History
The Amalgamated Slaters' Society of Scotland was formed in 1866 and renamed the Scottish Slaters, Tilers, Roofers and Cement Workers' Society in 1948. It amalgamated with the Transport and General Workers' Union in 1968.
