Administrative / Biographical History
W. Lonsdale, a Private, 2nd Battalion, Duke of Wellington's (West Riding) Regiment, served on the Western Front. He was captured at Mons, 1914, and held as a POW (Prisoner of War). He had a death sentence for striking a guard commuted to fifteen years imprisonment.
