Scope and Content

A miscellaneous collection of photographs, of various sizes, mounted on card. Most prints are captioned; titles given to uncaptioned prints are in square brackets. There are also 42 numbered captions on card (some appearing to have been cut from the prints?), in an envelope kept with the collection. Photographs are by Charles Nettleton, Herbert Deveril and possibly William Meluish. The geographical locations break down thus:
1-3 Views of Dunedin, c.1858-60, possibly by William Meluish
4-8 Miscellaneous New Zealand views, by various photographers
9-22 Views and panoramas of Melbourne, c.1870 by Charles Nettleton
23-75 Views of New Zealand by Herbert Deveril, d 1911.
