Society of Outdoor Staffs of the Ministry of Health

Scope and Content

Signed minutes of committees and general meetings.

Administrative / Biographical History

This body replaced the Inspectorate Association, Insurance Department, Ministry of Health and the Federation of Associations of Outdoor Staff, Ministry of Health, which were dissolved in 1925. Individual membership of the Society of Outdoor Staffs was open to staff in England only. The society maintained an affiliation to the Society of Civil Servants and, subsequently, to the Society of Civil Servants (Executive, Directing and Analogous). From January 1948 it merged with the Indoor Staff Association to form the Ministry of Health section of the Society of Civil Servants (Executive, Directing and Analogous).
