Constable William Henry Knipe of the Glamorgan County Police was seriously injured during the Tonypandy Riots of 1910-11. The newspaper reports included in this collection are concerned with his experiences as a police officer on duty at the Tonypandy Riots and other strikes during the period 1908-1926 for example at Llanbradach 1908; Newport 1909; Cornwall 1913 and Gwaun-Cae-Gurwen 1925. He served in the Glamorgan Police Force for 31 years.
