Administrative / Biographical History

The Amalgamated Textile Workers' Union was formed in 1974 by the amalgamation of the National Union of Textile and Allied Workers and the Amalgamated Weavers' Association. In 1985 it joined the General, Municipal, Boliermakers and Allied Trades Union.
