Papers of socialist and activist Charlie Pottins (1942-2015), including: papers, bulletins, circulars and other material relating to the politics and activities of the Workers' Revolutionary Party, 1986-1992 ; papers, bulletins, circulars and other material relating to the politics and activities of the Workers' International to Rebuild the Fourth International, 1992-1998 ; papers, correspondence, newsletters and other material regarding the Bosnia Solidarity Campaign and Workers' Aid for Bosnia, 1994-1999 ; photographs of meetings and events of the Jewish Socialist Group and other organisations, along with various demonstrations and pickets, 1980s-2000s; two scrapbooks of articles by Pottins for the Workers' Press, 1986-1992.

Charlie Pottins, born 1942, was a socialist and activist who held a strong grounding in left-wing politics and trade unionism. He attended Lancaster University in 1969 where he was instrumental in establishing a Socialist Society on the university campus. Charlie worked as a journalist on the Daily Worker’s Press (and its successor, News Line), was a member of the Socialist Labour League and the Workers’ Revolutionary Party, and became an enduring member of the Jewish Socialist Group. Whilst part of this group, he was heavily involved in the group’s work against anti-Semitism and other forms of racism.Charlie Pottins died on 15 September 2015.
