John Fewtrell of Llanymynech on the Montgomeryshire/Shropshire border was the author of Richard Roberts of Manchester, his life and the influence of this inventive genius on the manufactures of our country. This essay won a prize given by the Commercial Travellers of North and South Wales at the Liverpool National Eisteddfod of 1884.
