Administrative / Biographical History

Robert "Bob" Willis was General Secretary of the London Society of Compositors (LSC)/ London Typographical Society (LTS) (1945-63) and Joint General Secretary of the National Graphical Association (NGA) after merger (1963-9). He served on the General Council of the TUC, 1947-65 and on the National Board for Prices and Incomes (NBPI).

The Willis Papers were deposited in the Centre on indefinite loan from the National Graphical Association's head office in Bedford.

Accruals

Accruals: 05/03/98: five additional boxes of miscellaneous material were deposited by J. Abbott from NGA head office at Bedford and delived by G. Holmes of NGA London Region.
