George Duke of Buckingham sells to Rice Williams and Anthonie Nevill of London the monastery and manor of Leiston, certain rents and rectories in the above-named parishes and all the uses and interests of the lands concerned, all of which were given to him by King James I in the seventeenth year of his reign [1619] to be held of the King in fealty by common free socage paying a certain fee-farm rent to the King. Exception is made of a sale made by the Duke of Buckingham of the Manor of Leiston to Richard Graham, Richard Oliver, Sackvile Crowe, and Thomas Fotherley, dated 14 July 1625. Witnessed by Tho. Fotherley, Robert Wilson, and Ric. Guppey. Three seals are attached.
