Joanne Limburg Papers

Scope and Content

Drafts of poems by Joanne Limburg. Mostly word-processed or typescript, with and without manuscript annotations, and some wholly manuscript. Many files contain notes apparently made as part of the compositional process, and other documents of various kinds occur in the files, often on the reverse of the drafts or notes. The titles of many of the poems were altered in the course of writing. Some of the drafts were created in Stanmore, Middlesex; West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire; Edinburgh; and Cambridge. The date ranges given for each poem represent the earliest and latest dates given on the drafts, or on documents on which the drafts were written, or on accompanying documents. It is usual for most of the sheets within each set of drafts to be undated.
