Disablement Income Group

Scope and Content

The papers include both minutes, correspondence and publicity files from the Coventry Branch of the Disablement Income Group along with duplicated minutes and circulars from the Disablement Income Group National Executive Council. There are also files of correspondence with Coventry Social Services and other groups and societies and publications issued by DIG and other bodies.

Administrative / Biographical History

The Disablement Income Group (DIG) was founded in 1965 to campaign for economic justice for the disabled and chronic sick.

This collection was deposited in the Centre by the Coventry branch of the Disablement Income Group in 1975.
