Scope and Content

Two photograph albums recording the years Edward Price Roe spent in Blantyre. The photographs are mainly of the Shire Highlands, his home on Kubula Hill, his shooting expeditions, and his travels into Mozambique. Some of the photographs show his family at home in Ireland.

Administrative / Biographical History

Edward Price Roe (1870-1953) was born near Dublin, Ireland. He worked as Chief Accountant for the British Central Africa Company in Blantyre, Nyasaland (now Malawi) from 1900 to 1921.
