Administrative / Biographical History

The National Glass Bottle Makers' Society of Great Britain and Ireland was formed in Leeds in 1903 by breakaway members of the National Flint Glass Makers' Society of Great Britain and Ireland. It amalgamated with the Transport and General Workers' Union in 1940.
