Scope and Content

A West African Muslim charm, together with a commentary by Alexander Mackie Honeyman, professor of Hebrew and Oriental Languages at St Mary's College, St Andrews from 1936-1967.

The script has affinities with the maghrebi script and constitutes a charm designed to enhance the reputation of the owner.
