The first is Note on a superficial scraping of the floor of a rock shelter situated on the farm Stradbroke, District Middelburg, Cape, South African Journal of Science, 22, 1925, and the last, published posthumously, is The Ape in Myth and Art, Verdigris Press for the Zoological Society of London, 1998.
Between 1925 and 1950 scientific papers, reviews of academic works and related communications to scientific journals predominate. Thereafter the range widens to reflect Zuckerman's public life, with an emphasis in the later years on the environment and the nuclear arms race.
