Scope and Content

Licence to alienate a 'mancion' house in Haslingfield, Cambridgeshire, granted simultaneously with a 20-year lease of the property by the master, fellows and scholars of Trinity College, Cambridge to John Smith of Harlton, Cambridgeshire, yeoman. Alienation of a part of the property is not permitted. Deed poll, seal wanting, duty stamps. Endorsed in a contemporary hand: 'Hasleningfield Farm / Alienation 1717'.
