Scope and Content

Collection of loose sheets almost entirely of English verse, in many different hands, dating from the early 17th to the early 18th century; with a letter, 19 June 1622, from Thomas Gorstelow, and a bill of sale at the Royal Coffee-House at Charing Cross, 20 February 1679.

Apparently corresponds to many of the items in vol. A352 (as catalogued by Bloom ca.1903) of the papers of the Newdegate family, Arbury Hall, Nuneaton, Warwickshire. An annotated photocopy of the catalogue entry is enclosed with the manuscript.
