Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
In 1917, the Midland Employers' Federation became the National Employers' Federation. The NEF was subsequently to merge with the Engineering Employers' Federation (MSS.237) in 1918. The merger was of particular significance in Birmingham and the Black Country, where the bulk of the NEF's members were located.
