Scope and Content

Journal of an unidentified young man relating to a stay in Rome, Italy, with his mother, his sister, Ghita, and another companion, Annis, 17 Mar - 25 May 1866. The young man writes retrospectively about the whole period 17-27 March which relates to the family's journey from London and the first few days in Rome. Thereafter, there are daily entries, although some of these are also written retrospectively
