Comprises deeds and associated documents relating to the Douglas Pennant family and their estates at Penrhyn and Wicken Park.

Administrative / Biographical History

The Douglas Pennant family, whose wealth was based on extensive interests in the West Indies, owned the estates at Penrhyn, near Bangor in Caernarfonshire, north Wales and at Wickham Park in Northamptonshire.

The firm of solicitors Eland Hore Paterson which acted for the family has merged with Kidd Rapinet of 14-15 Craven Street, London WC2N.

Arrangement

Material is arranged in chronological order and incorporated into the General Collection of Bangor Manuscripts .
