Manuscript poetry, composed between 1846 and 1851 and connected with a member of the Bryce family of Sparkbrook, Birmingham, with seven watercolour drawings.

Little biographical information is known about the poet. Several of the poems refer to Janet Bryce, and many were written at Sparkbrook, and at Balsall Heath, Birmingham. The poet claims to be 75 years old in one poem dated 1848.
