A manuscript copy of the Kankhavitarani. Pali text with a gloss in Mon, an language related to Vietnamese and Khmer (Cambodian) and spoken among the Mon people in parts of Burma and Thailand.

The Kankhavitarani is a commentary on the Patimokkha, a register of sins containing 227 articles used when monks assembled twice a month to confess to the assembly. It was written by the greatest figure in Pali commentary literature, Buddhaghosa, a 5th century Indian scholar.
