Peter Ellis Jones lectured at the Geography Department of the Normal College, Bangor, north Wales and later at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. In September 1973 he submitted the thesis Bangor: A Study in Urban Morphology and Social Geography, 1800-1971 for the degree of Ph.D. of the University of Wales. He is originally from Carrog in Merionethshire.
Material is arranged in chronological order and incorporated into the General Collection of Bangor Manuscripts .
