Revisers of the English Bible: Minutes, Correspondence and Papers

Scope and Content

Notebooks and loose papers created and accumulated by the companies and committees engaged in the revision of the English Bible. The papers are mainly in English, with small amounts of French and Ancient Greek.

Unless restrictions apply, the collection is open for consultation by researchers using the Manuscripts Reading Room at Cambridge University Library. Acquisition Information

MSS.Add.6923-6932 were presented by W. Aldis Wright, 1908-1909. MSS.Add. 6933 and 6935-6944 were presented by the Dean and Chapter of Westminster, 1908. There is no record of the accession of MSS.Add.6934 and 6945-6950.
