History of Kirke family entitled 'Secret Family Business - My Search for Harriet Kirk' by M E Francis (MS 893/1)

One Christmas card containing a photograph of General Sir Walter Kirke and a copy of his obituary (MS 893/2)

Seven photographs and copy photographs of members of the Kirke family including George Edmund Percy Hodge, Harriet Kirke, Ann Hodge (née Kirke) and Charles Vere Hodge (MS 893/3-9). The copy photographs contain genealogical information on the reverse together with a record of where the copy was obtained and an estimated date of the original photograph.

Administrative / Biographical History

The account of the Kirke family was compiled by Marion Francis from the extensive research which she conducted into the family, the Kirkes being her maternal relations. The photographs were collected by Mrs Francis during the course of her research.
