Administrative / Biographical History
John King was born in 1945. From 1963-8 he worked for British Rail, and was active in the Transport Salaried Staffs' Association. He joined British European Airlines in 1969, becoming a member of the Clerical and Administrative Workers' Union (CAWU). He continued to work for British Airways throughout the 1970s, but became less active in trade union activities.
