Administrative / Biographical History

Bradford Chemical Society was formed in 1945, most of its members being chemists working in industry. The Society met in rooms at Bradford Technical College (the secretary of the Society was Dr W.R. Moore of the College's Chemistry Department) and had a programme of lectures and visits. Among its objects were "to place on record the transactions of the Society, lectures read before the Society, and communications from members of the Society...". These transactions were first published in 1948.
