Administrative / Biographical History
Y Felinheli, sometimes known as Portdinorwic, is a village located between the towns of Caernarfon and Bangor, north Wales. It was once a thriving port on the Menai Strait with a well-sheltered harbour. Slates were transported from Dinorwic Quarry by light railway to the harbour and from there, shipped to all parts of the world.
