The British Marine Salvage Co Ltd was incorporated in 1888  in Glasgow, Scotland, and was liquidated in 1924  . Although the complete minutes of the company survive, the bulk of its records were destroyed 3 years after liquidation according to the final surviving minutes. The Glasgow Salvage Association attempted to buy the British Marine Salvage Co Ltd for £410 in 1924 but were outbid by an private individual.
