Administrative / Biographical History

The Print Block, Roller and Stamp Cutters' Society was founded in Manchester in November 1889 as the Amalgamated Society of Block, Roller and Stamp Cutters. It became the Print Block, Roller and Stamp Cutters' Society in 1930. In 1917 the union became a founder member of the Wallpaper Stainers Trade Union Federation. In 1969 it transferred its engagements to the Wallpaper Workers' Union.
